Production Blog: The Falling Action- Part 2
Last time I was able to complete five key things. I selected the clips to use in the video. I cropped and resized the clips that required it. I recorded the song from YouTube starting from the video’s start. I uploaded the media to CapCut. And I sent a screen recording of what I had so far to my teammates for review.
After that, I decided to review the feedback that my teammates sent me and decide on a to-do list. The only real feedback was to censor the minor profanity in the song. That being said I got to work. I needed to add transitions. This would bring my music video to life. And slightly adjust the placements of certain clips. This would hopefully allow them to better match up with the lyrics as they were being sung. I began with the latter by rearranging the clips. For example, I moved the clips of my group mate, Nijah, standing out of the sunroof with her hair blowing to the beginning of the music video where the lyrics are roughly saying, “I love it when your hair blows…standing out the sunroof”. After doing that all I had to do was decide on transitions (and their timings) that would best fit the music video aesthetic. Finally, I sent the ‘final copy’ to my teammates for their opinions on any last-minute changes. Once again with CapCut, there was a quick and painless editing process.
That being said, until next time, please take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you next time. It's been Adrian, signing off.
