Here We Are Once Again

Hey guys, welcome or welcome back to my blog. If you've been keeping up with my blogs you may know that I, along with my group, have begun working on our Final Task. This project will be the opening sequence of a film.

As of now my groupmates and I have been able to achieve a few preliminary tasks. The pitch was created in the thriller genre surrounding a kidnapping victim's revenge on her abductor. Next research was done on the Horror, Thriller, and Drama genres. Settling on the thriller genre, research was done into thriller movie conventions. This was followed by Title Design Research.

Last Sunday, my groupmates and I met up at Callie's house. The goal was to complete the planning and script for the film. Firstly, we started with the planning as it was primarily miscellaneous information. With a few phone calls to parental units and an evaluation of work schedules, we were able to complete most of the planning. There however were a few details that required a follow-up. The Health and Safety portion, which would expand upon writing the script. The addition of any extra filming locations. And a schedule expanding beyond the month. This is because the schedule was drawn out around all groupmates' projected schedules that were only realistically accurate for up to a month in advance. Next, we worked on the Script. The scriptwriting started with deciding on a name for our film. The name was decided to be, The Red Room. The bare-bones script was then quickly jotted down so that we could have a conclusion of sorts for our first working session. The script is more based on the visuals that will be provided later in the storyboard and the actual project. Having a commitment after our session I bid my partners farewell and headed home for the day. Though I had a productive afternoon. I'm excited next time to be able to breathe life into the script via the storyboard.
