Production Blog: The Falling Action- Part 1
Hey guys, welcome or welcome back to my blog. Today I will be picking up where I left off in my production process, but first, let's recap.
First, I decided on my group and settled on a song (2SEATER by Tyler, the Creator). Second, I did research on my song's genre and what music video conventions would look like for it. Next, I came up with a plan for my music video including settings, activities, and attire as well as physically drawing up a storyboard. Then, I planned out my ventures and conducted my first filming session at an empty lot which went auspiciously. Finally, I completed my second filming session at Hagen Park. With them completed I'm roughly 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the way through my project meaning I'm officially in the homestretch. Today's blog will encompass the first half of my editing process.
Once again I will be utilizing CapCut for this editing process as I have grown to love the simplicity of their program. This first half of my editing was primarily focused on importing my music and clips. Firstly, I had to select the clips I wanted to use. Though I had already picked out my clips I thought it best to at least revisit the clips as well as get my teammates' feedback on them before I would be too far along in the process for reparations. Secondly, I had to clean up my clips. This meant resizing certain clips, such as my Aerial Shot, and shortening some clips that had unnecessary time on the ends of them. Next, I (once again) screen-recorded the song from YouTube, starting the recording from the start of my music video. Then, I imported the song and the clips to CapCut which I was able to do by simply uploading them to my account logged in on my computer from the app on my phone. Finally, I ordered the clips and then sent a screen recording to my groupmates for review.
That being said, until next time, please take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you next time. It's been Adrian, signing off.
