Production Blog: The Climax- Part 2

 Hey guys, welcome or welcome back to my blog. This blog will detail the second day of my group's filming of our music video. 

Prior to the originally planned date for the filming, a problem was discovered. This problem was that our group was more than likely not going to be able to make our deadlines with the date that was set. That being said I had to rethink our location and time slot changing it from a Sunday evening at a bowling alley to a Monday afternoon at the park. Being short notice there wasn't much I could come up with and although the idea of a picnic was thrown around it was ultimately decided to veto that. Though this limited the scope of our scene(s) it would be alright due to my group already technically having enough footage to make up the music video's duration. These scenes would function as in-between clips to display a change in set and costume. I decided that our video would need another shot as well as wanted to implement a tilt. That being said, I decided that at the park I would have to find a way to use those.

My group ended up meeting in the student parking lot after school and carpooling to the park directly on Monday afternoon (around 3:00 p.m.). Upon arriving we quickly got to work filming our scene. Though the intention was to end within 30-40 minutes it ended up being over an hour. Out of the takes, to fit my predetermined criteria, I settled on two. The first was the Dutch tilt depicted while one of my groupmates swung on the swing set. The second was a long shot of us goofing around in the jungle gym. I also captured different forms/instances for the shot and tilt for example I used the tilt in multiple places on the playground to determine which one worked best later in the next and final part of my project.
