A Little About Me
Hi guys, and welcome to my blog! My name is Adrian Forbes, I'm a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I was born May 2nd, making me a Taurus. Just like the Taurus zodiac, I would describe myself as a down-to-earth, reliable, and loyal soul. I choose my friends very carefully and pride myself on the relationships I cultivate and hold dear. I solemnly live by the idea that the seeds you sow you will reap. I use this in my day-to-day life to make being the best version of myself a must. I would never let myself live down the regret of falling short, whether in an activity or a relationship, due to not giving it all that I had to give. Now that you know a little about my character, let's pivot to my hobbies.
I enjoy spending time with my friends, reading, and listening to music. I enjoy spending time with my best friends as I feel we embody an 'iron sharpens iron' relationship for one another, constantly uplifting and bettering each other. I also have recently gotten back into reading which I find to be an excellent way to keep my mind sharp in ways I would have never known possible. Finally, but certainly not least we have my favorite of the three, which is listening to music. Listening to music wasn't a huge factor in my life at all up until about two years ago. That was the day I took a random leap and listened to a song still near and dear to my heart called, Affluenza by Conan Gray. Ever since then, music has made up a monumental part of my life. Artists like Doja Cat, Lana Del Ray, and SZA are more than people I listen to when I'm bored. They become safe places I can take anywhere with me. An instant escape. A breath of fresh air.
Though I am currently in the Pre-Law program at my school I have a very different plan for my future. I want to go to college to study psychology to become a psychologist. The human mind is just something that has always fascinated me and I look forward to being able to help people figure out their minds and get ever closer to their sense of peace. I intend to take AP Psychology next year as a senior, then go to college at the University of Florida and major in Psychology the year after.
Overall, I don't have many more concrete plans for my life, but I do know that I want to live a life that I can be proud of. A life that can positively touch the lives around me.
